4 months

Bryan had his 4 month well baby check up today. He weighed in at 16 pounds 15.5 onces...not sure why they didn't just say 17 pounds...and he is 27 3/4 inches long!! As expected his height is way off the growth charts. We get to start solids anytime in the next two months so I am sure we'll have some fun pics of that real soon!!

After much drooling and nawing on anything he could get in his mouth Bryan's first tooth finally broke through the gums yesterday!! He has been such a trooper, no fever or crankiness and we haven't even had to pull out the Baby Orajel yet!! Since the tooth isn't up far enough to get a picture of it yet I thought I'd include a picture of the after bath smile...

Dancing School

Tonight was Emma's dancing school performance, she was one of the youngest in the class and she did great!! The gave the girls fluffy tutus to wear and I think Emma was a little distracted by the costume (which is kind of funny because my parents tell the story of my first dance recital and how I was preoccupied with fixing my costume)! Spring Break

Think our kids are a little too young to really have a "spring break" but Emma did have the week off from pre-school and Patrick had three days off during the middle of the week, so it was a little mini spring break for our family. Fortunately we had beautiful weather this week so we spent as much time outside as possible! Emma took lots of trips to the park, some with Nana, some with Grandma, and some with Mom and Dad. Bryan enjoyed being outside too, and being in the sun really highlighted how fair skinned he is...there will be lots of sunscreen in this boys future!! Below are some pics from the week...

Wow, where did the week go...it has been such a busy week for our family, seems like we have had an activity or meeting every night this week. Here are some pics from last weekend that I am just now getting around to posting!!!

Big Sister

After dinner tonight I was rushing to get ready for a Junior League meeting and had Bryan sitting in his chair when he started to get pretty fussy.  I was just about to go pick him up when I noticed that Emma had brought out the basket of stuffed animals from his room and started showing each of them to him.  Bryan calmed down instantly and I got to snap a couple cute pics before she noticed what I was doing.

Two and a half going on eighteen

Last week while on our way to visit Patrick's parents in Dallas we made a stop at Sam Moons where Patrick thought it would be funny to introduce Emma to clip on earrings, and of course the only pair of clip of earnings in this gigantic store full of costume jewelry were a pair of giant pearls with diamond accents.   Emma is now obsessed with wearing her earrings.  When we went to meet my sister and her fiance for dinner tonight to celebrate my birthday Emma insisted upon wearing her earrings...and everyone notices a two and a half year old in giant pearls!!!
