We spent a hour and a half in the doctor's office this morning. Emma had her three year old check up and Bryan had his six month check up. Both kids are growing lots and checked out just fine. Here are their stats:
Emma- 3 years old
35.8 pounds
40.7 inches tall
Bryan- 6 months old
20 pounds, 3 ounces
30 inches tall (YES, I said 30 inches...the doctor measured three times to make sure that was right because it puts him way off the chart!!)

Busy Weekend!!
We had a wonderful, but busy, weekend...Patrick's youngest brother graduated from high school; we meet up with our friends from Lubbock- the Harveys (their daughter Hannah and Emma hadn't seen each other in almost a year but they played together so well you would have thought they saw each other every day!); we enjoyed several dips in my parent's pool (including a dip with the Grayson family- which I forgot to get any pictures off but Bryan and Tucker really enjoyed their first time in the pool, they even both went under the water for a quick second); Aunt Gushy turned 25 and we celebrated with a family birthday dinner; and finally we had some spalsh time with the Crissey family in Emma's new pool. A few pics from this weekend below...

The independence of a three year old...
Emma in really in to picking out her own clothes, usually I can direct her towards something that remotely matches and fits the weather outside, but today was just one of those days and I let her do it all herself....here's what we ended up with: her ladybug dress that I made for her birthday, her ladybug wings from Halloween, her red bucket rain hat, and her ear muffs...I didn't capture it in the picture but later she added her hot pink high top converse and her polka dot rain jacket...Nana was so excited when she came to pick her up for the library this morning!!

He found his toes...
Bryan has finally found his toes and now he won't stop grabbing them, I'm sure he'll figure out how to get them in his mouth pretty soon...although they may not make it because his legs are son LONG!
Bryan can also drive the jeep, jk, but Patrick thought it was pretty funny that when he held him in the driver's seat Bryan reached straight for the steering wheel...I am sure it will be several years before Bryan is really driving the jeep but Patrick just couldn't wait to put him in it!!

Emma is 3!!!
Emma turned three this weekend, time really does fly...seems like she was a baby just the other day. We celebrated Emma's birthday with a ladybug party for family and friends at the house. The kids decorated flower pots and planted seeds and then we had a performance by Ms. Judy (aka "the music lady"- that's what Emma keep calling her!) Emma was in a music class from age 3 months until two and a half, so she absolutely loves anything music related and had a blast singing along with Ms. Judy. This weekend is also another anniversary...I have been a licensed attorney for three years (think I still have a few more years to go before I am not considered a "baby lawyer")!!! I found out that I passed the bar while I was delivering Emma, it was actually right as the doctor came in to deliver her that I got a call from my good friend Vanessa.
