Zoo, Football, Hot-Air Balloons, and the best part is...

...the kids were so pooped that they both feel asleep before 7pm tonight!! We started out the weekend with a trip to the Zoo to meet up with Vanessa and Gregory. The weather was great, the Zoo wasn't too crowded and the kids were all in good moods! Next we headed over to Lindsy and Juan's new house to watch the Tech game. Yes, we are sad Tech lost...but they did come to play and put up a good fight so we're not too upset. Honestly, we were really worried that they were going to eat us alive, especially after last year, but that didn't happen!! We left the game watching party at half time to get the kids to bed because we woke them up at 5:30am this morning to head out to the Plano Balloon Festival. The kids had a great time watching the balloons launch at sunrise and it was another beautiful morning. After we had enough of the balloons we headed into Dallas to surprise Ann/Grandma. She made us a great breakfast and she wasn't even expecting us (haven't had bacon, eggs, and pancakes for breakfast in forever, hmm!!) Emma was scheduled to have her first soccer practice/game this afternoon but it was cancelled because the fields were too wet from all the rain this week...guess we'll just have to wait a week to see how cute she looks in her little shin guards and cleats!!
Of course there was a longhorn calf in the petting zoo at the Zoo, Patrick stood in front of the pin for forever flashing his guns-up...had to pull him away from the area because he was starting to get some looks from the kids!

The boys are still young enough that they got a giggle out of just sitting on the ride without us actually having to feed the machine with quarters!

Emma milking the fake-cow at the Zoo!!
Emma practicing "Guns Up" before the game!

Bryan practicing some football poses before the game, we're working on the Heisman- not quite there yet.

I got one of the professional photographers that was out taking shots of the balloons to take a family picture with our camera...Emma has a camera-man phobia right now and so she refused to look at the camera, oh well!

Bryan keep looking up towards the ballons that were taking on and saying something that sounded very similar to "up"
